Checkmate uses the right people for whatever job is at hand:
- Only mother-tongue English speakers perform correction and editing of
texts in English.
- Technical and scientific texts are handled by specialists at PhD level
or by post-graduate research students of the appropriate discipline. Other
texts are worked on by experienced editors or proof readers.
- For translation work Checkmate only uses full-time qualified translators
who have satisfied the strict membership requirements of professional translating
bodies.
Most of our translators have more than five years' professional translating experience and every translation is into the translator's mother tongue.
